Job Description

The expectation to fully understand the distribution activities to proficiently manage warehousing operations related to receiving, storing, picking, shipping, dispatching, and delivery of materials and supplies, ensuring efficient and accurate processes and protocols are implemented and maintained.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directs and coordinates warehouse operations, including loading operations and material handling activities (processing, packaging, and storage of supplies, materials, and equipment}.
Prepares schedules for shipping and receiving materials, to control flow of goods, and regulate warehouse space.
Develops and reviews work schedules and policies/procedures of the warehouse.
Coordinates the load out schedule with the in house distribution and outside contractors to ensure the timely and accurate load out and receiving of all products.
Supervises warehouse employees, facilitates reporting related to performance, and ensures that whole team abides by all safety, quality, and compliance standards.
Oversees incoming materials, inspects for obvious damage, and guarantees that damaged materials are processed for return and/or credit.
Performs other duties as may be assigned by management.

Job Requirements

EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 3 years' experience in warehousing, logistics, or operations in the food industry
Minimum of at least 3 years' experience in a supervisory role
Cold Storage experience preferred.
Self-motivated with proven time management skills
Proven planning and organizing skills, leadership, teamwork, and influencing or collaboration skills
Ability to manage multiple assignments in a demanding, fast-paced environment
Excellent written, verbal, and communication skills

EDUCATION:
High School or G.E.D. Or technical school or equivalent combination of education and experience
